Kính thưa Quý Đạo-Hữu,
Chiếu Điều III, các Khoản 4 và 6 của bản Nội-Quy Hội Phật-Giáo Việt-Nam tại Minnesota, trân trọng kính mời Quý Đạo-Hữu về Chùa tham dự Đại Hội Thường Niên của Hội vào lúc 10 giờ 30 sáng Chủ-Nhật, ngày 19 tháng 3 năm 2023.
Theo Điều IV Khoản 12, và Điều V Khoản 15, về nhiệm kỳ của Hội-Đồng Hộ-Trì Tam-Bảo (HĐHTTB) và Ban Trị-Sự, Đại Hội năm nay sẽ không có phần bầu cử. Tuy nhiên vì tính cách quan trọng của Đại-Hội cũng như đây là thời gian để chúng ta duyệt lại tình trạng tài chánh của Hội và đặt định đường hướng sinh hoạt của Hội trong tương lai, xin Quý Đạo-Hữu cố gắng thu xếp thì giờ về tham dự Đại-Hội.
Nguyện cầu Tam Bảo gia-hộ cho Quý Đạo-Hữu và gia-quyến thân tâm thường lạc, vạn sự cát-tường, Phật sự viên thành.

Nay thật là một thắng duyên, Chư Tôn Thiền Đức Tăng của đoàn Hoằng Pháp Châu Âu do Hòa Thượng Thích Như Điển sẽ về Minnesota hoằng pháp tại chùa Phật Ân. Khóa tu Học Phật Pháp tổ chức trong ba ngày từ thứ Sáu ngày 24 tháng 2 đến Chủ Nhật ngày 26 tháng 2 năm 2023.

Một mùa Xuân truyền thống của dân tộc Việt Nam lại trở về, đem đến bao ước vọng tốt tươi cho một năm mới đang đến. Đón Xuân là chúng ta tiễn biệt một năm cũ với những gì chưa trọn vẹn; nghinh đón năm mới tràn đầy niềm tin, hy vọng an lành với nụ cười từ bi hỷ xã của Đức Di Lặc thị hiện đầu Xuân, sẽ xua tan những lo âu phiền muộn, đau khổ cho nhân thế; truyền đến nhân loại hơi ấm, tình thương đầy sức sống, ấm no và hạnh phúc.
Để đời sống tâm linh của chúng ta thêm phần phong phú, mạnh mẽ và đón nhận những điều an vui hạnh phúc chân thật. Đồng thời để cộng đồng người Việt tại Minnesota có nơi để cùng nhau đón Xuân, Chùa Phật Ân trang trong tổ chức tiệc Tất Niên, đón Giao Thừa, cúng cơm tụng kinh cầu nguyện cho ông bà, cha mẹ thân quyến theo như chương trình đính kèm.

Một lần nữa Mùa Vu Lan lại về, noi gương hiếu hạnh của Tôn Giả Mục Kiền Liên, chùa Phật Ân - Minnesota long trọng tổ chức Đại lễ Vu Lan và Cầu siêu bạt độ hương linh cửu huyền thất tổ. Lúc 10h Chủ Nhật ngày 19 tháng 8, năm 2018 (nhằm ngày 9 tháng 7 năm Mậu Tuất).
Thay mặt bổn tự, kính mời quý Phật tử dành chút ít thời giờ quý báu về bổn tự Phật Ân, cùng với chư tôn đức góp phần cầu nguyện cho thế giới hòa bình, chúng sinh an lạc, cha mẹ hiện tiền Phước Thọ tăng long, cha mẹ quá vãng được siêu sanh tịnh cảnh.
Nguyện Tam Bảo gia hộ cho quý Phật Tử cùng bửu quyến, vô lượng an lạc, kiết tường như ý.

Mùa Vu lan hay mùa báo hiếu trong đạo Phật thường gợi chúng ta nhớ đến lời dạy rất sâu sắc của Đức Phật rằng tâm hiếu là tâm Phật, hạnh hiếu là hạnh Phật.
Phật dạy:
“Cùng tột điều thiện không gì hơn hiếu
Cùng tột điều ác không gì hơn bất hiếu”.
(Kinh Nhẫn Nhục)

KINH HẠNH NGUYỆN PHỔ HIỀN

Tam tạng pháp sư Bát Nhã, người nước Kế-tân,
dịch từ Phạn văn ra Hán văn, tại Trung-quốc, vào đời Đường
Theo lời dạy của Đức Thế Tôn, người Phật tử muốn làm tròn hiếu đạo phải có trách nhiệm giúp cha mẹ thoát khổ được vui; tạo điều kiện cho cha mẹ có được niềm an vui lâu dài từ việc rủ bõ tham-sân-si khi quay về nương tựa tam bảo.
Nếu chúng ta đứng quá gần một tấm kính, ta sẽ không thể thấy gì. Mà xa quá thì cũng thế. Chúng ta cần đứng một khoảng cách vừa phải thì mới có thể nhìn thấy rõ.
Như vầy tôi nghe. Một thời, Thế Tôn đang đi du hành giữa dân chúng Kosala, cùng với đại chúng Tỷ-kheo, đi đến Kesaputta, thị trấn của các người Kàlàmà
Đây là con đường duy nhất để thanh lọc (tâm) chúng sanh, chấm dứt lo âu phiền muộn, uất ức than khóc, diệt khổ thân và khổ tâm, đạt Thánh Đạo và chứng ngộ Niết Bàn. Đó là Tứ Niệm Xứ (bốn cách quán sát).
